In Reflekive, administrators do not have a self-service toggle or button in the Admin Settings to pause or resume automated HRIS syncs (whether via SFTP, API, or direct integration).
Because automated data feeds directly govern user provisioning, deactivation, and reporting hierarchies, changes to the sync pipeline must be executed through Reflekive Support (or your dedicated Customer Success / Implementation Manager).
Why Admin Self-Service Is Restricted
Automated sync jobs run on backend cron/daemon schedules. Granting direct user-facing controls without safeguards introduces significant downstream risks:
Mid-Cycle Performance Review Freezes: Pausing or resuming mid-evaluation can disrupt active review cycles, recalibration groups, or peer-feedback workflows if manager-employee reporting lines update unexpectedly.
Orphaned User Accounts & Accidental Deactivation: If an HRIS feed runs partially or stops, newly onboarded employees won't receive access, and active reviews may lock.
Data Discrepancies: Background syncs involve delta checks. Halting them requires backend coordination to ensure that once resumed, delta reconciliation or a full manual backfill runs smoothly without duplicating records.
How to Request a Pause or Resume
When opening a ticket with Reflekive Support support@reflekive.com or via the Reflekive Support Portal, provide the following details to prevent delays:
-
Company & Environment Details:
Company nameĀ
Integration type (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP, standard SFTP/CSV upload).
-
Action Requested:
Explicitly state whether you need to Pause or Resume the sync.
-
Timeline & Effective Dates:
Target date/time (including timezone) when the sync should be paused.
Target date/time for resumption (or specify if it should remain paused until further written notice).
-
Reason for the Change:
-
Common operational triggers include:
Ongoing company restructuring / reorganization.
HRIS migration or core schema changes.
End-of-year compensation or calibration cycle freezes.
Bulk cleanups of employee email domains or IDs.
-
-
Resumption Reconciliation Preference (for resumes):
Specify if you want a standard scheduled delta run or an immediate forced full sync to catch up on accumulated changes.
Best Practices While Sync Is Paused
Manual Overrides: Avoid making manual, ad-hoc edits to employee profiles or reporting lines in the Reflekive Admin dashboard unless necessary, as resumed HRIS feeds will overwrite manual entries unless field-level mapping rules are configured otherwise.
