Is it possible to delete 1:1 conversations with employees or managers?

As an employee or manager, you have full control over managing your 1:1 conversation history within the platform. Whether you want to clear out individual past discussions or remove conversations with former team members, you can easily clean up your 1:1 list.

You can delete specific past 1:1 conversations that you no longer need.

  • Who can do this: Both employees and managers.

  • What happens: Deleting a conversation removes the discussion thread from your 1:1 history.

Steps to delete a conversation:

  1. Navigate to your 1:1 Conversations tab.

  2. Select the specific conversation thread you wish to delete.

  3. Click the Remove (or trash icon) button next to the conversation.

If a manager or direct report leaves the company—or if your reporting structure changes—you can completely remove their name from your active 1:1 list to keep your workspace organised.

  • Who can do this: Any user who has a 1:1 thread tied to a former manager or former direct report.

  • What happens: The user and their associated conversation history will be completely hidden/removed from your primary 1:1 conversations menu.

Steps to remove a former team member:

  1. Go to your 1:1 Conversations list.

  2. Locate the person’s name (former manager or former direct report).

  3. Click on Remove
