Reviews
Goals Added to Reviews Contextual Side Panel
Individual and team goals will now appear on the Reviews contextual side panel. This is similar to how goals appear on the side panel of the Home page and the 1:1s page. Filters by goal status and time frame can be applied to narrow the displayed goals.
Who does this affect?
This enhancement will be available by default and is of interest to Reviews customers.
Why the update?
While writing a review, reviewers can easily access their reviewees' goals. This serves as a guide for reviewers to fully evaluate their reviewees' goals and help reviewers provide additional context and examples to their responses.

Calibration
Calibration is now in General Availability by request. This release includes the following new features:
Pre-calibration Manager Sessions
The pre-calibration process allows collecting of performance notes ahead of calibration sessions.
Who does this affect?
This feature will be available by default and is of interest to primary managers who will be taking part in a calibration process.
Why the update?
This feature gives managers the ability to access a calibration view of their hierarchy and to take notes on their employees prior to a calibration session. To enable this feature, calibration administrators select “Enable Pre-calibration to managers” when creating a calibration session.
Figure 3: Pre-Calibration
Rich Employee Profile View
While conducting a calibration session, calibration administrators can now "drill down" through employee profile views to access the underlying data:
- Review feedback and final review report for calibrated cycle

Configurable Character Limit for Recognition Posts
Customers can now configure the maximum number of characters allowed in recognition posts.
Who does this affect?
This will be available by request and is of interest to our Recognition customers.
Why the update?
The maximum number of characters supported for recognition posts is 3,000. This enhancement allows customers to lower this limit in order to encourage recognition posts to be concise and more readable. When configured, the character limits will be displayed to the user.
Figure 6: Character Limit Display on Recognition Posts
Various Feedback Enhancements
Several improvements have been made to Feedback 2021:
-
Manager visibility of posts when reporting lines change: When “Manager” is included in the post’s “share with” value, and and the manager changes, the old manager will lose visibility and the new manager will gain it.
-
Email notifications when a post is retracted/deleted: People who receive a notification when a post is created will now also receive a notification when the post is retracted or deleted. That could be the recipient and/or manager, depending on the share settings.
-
If Recognition is enabled, "Recognize someone" is selected as default when launching feedback from the employee’s profile page. If "Give Feedback" is enabled, giving feedback to the respective employee is selected by default.
-
Minor user experience improvements when entering custom questions for feedback requests.
Who does this affect?
This has already been deployed and is of interest to customers that use Feedback 2021.
Why the update?
To improve the overall Feedback 2021 experience.
