We'll be going over new features, updates, and improvements to Reflektive below. These features and fixes will be live as of February 20th, 2020. General Availability means that all accounts can enable and use the features immediately, and Beta means that the features are rolled out to a selection of willing participants first before it is ready for General Availability. For the Release Preview deck our Customer Success Managers have been sharing in February, you can find that here.
Goals General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers using the Goals platform will enjoy these enhancements.
Why the update?
Increasing usability and flexibility with the Goals platform has been a high priority for Reflektive, ever since rolling out the enhanced user experience to our users. The new features are listed below:
- Goal Re-ordering
Users can now drag and drop goals to reorder them however they like. This ability improves the overall user-experience, giving users agency in how they order and prioritize their goals for both themselves and others who are viewing their goals. - Limited Cascade Search Bar
The cascade goals tool is a powerful and efficient tool when wielded correctly. However, if the ability is open to an entire company and there is no guidance or structure given when first deploying the goals platform, then a lot of noise in the form of unstructured/disorganized goals can rapidly accumulate within the system. By limiting how non-admins can cascade goals, the system now has safeguards against confusion and disorder.
What managers and direct reports see:
Limited functionality for cascade search + added alignment checkbox.
What administrators see:
More powerful cascade search + addition of alignment checkbox.
Additionally, the system will inform managers and direct reports with an error message when they are trying to cascade to someone for whom they don't have the permissions to do so for. - Goals Progress Snapshot
Goal progress in a review is now snap-shotted when either the employee or manager submits that review, providing more accuracy within the context of a goal's lifetime. - Goals UX enhancements
Now, you can click on the Goals Title within the Goals list to open an edit window.
You can also toggle between Objectives and Key Results (and vice-versa) from the edit/view window.
Engagement Surveys General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
Any customer who have Engagement Surveys enabled will enjoy these enhancements.
Why the update?
As an HR leader, you would want to measure and track eNPS across your organization. The 11-point (remember to count 0) scale format has become an industry standard, and when paired with your standard NPS calculations, you have a way of measuring employee sentiment in an easy to understand way that can be bench-marked.
When designing an Engagement Survey, you can now select eNPS (0-10) under the Rating Scale options.
As a reminder, here is how to calculate eNPS:
- eNPS = % promoters (9 and 10) - % detractors (0 through 6)
- Passives (7 & 8) are not included in the calculation
- eNPS scores can be between -100 and 100
- Anything above zero is acceptable, though companies have varying standards. In general, a score of 10-30 is considered good, and a score of 50 and above is excellent.
Core Product / Foundation Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All administrators will enjoy these enhancements.
Why the update?
In an effort to clean up and better organize the growing list of administrator/team tools that we're building out, we're giving:
- Updating how the Admin menu looks
- The ability for Team Administrators to delete a team from the Admin menu
1. Administrator Navigation
The Administrator tool bar is now pared down to two main subgroups - Management and People. Management is in regards to configuring each of the main Reflektive suite products, while People refers to managing personnel and their permissions.
2. Deleting Teams
Team Admins can now delete a team from this new section under People within the Admin tab. Deleting a team will permanently remove the team and associated goals (though you can reassign these to a new owner before deleting a team to prevent the loss of goals). There is an archive team function in the works, but that will be available in the future.
- Since this is a hard delete (the record cannot be restored), we have added a safeguard to the deletion process: The deleter is required to input the team name manually to complete the deletion of the team.
People Intelligence General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All admins who have access to People Intelligence will be able to utilize these new reports.
Why the update?
With all the new expanded functionality and new products that have been rolling out as of late, we need to make sure that we're able to quantify how people are using those tools. This is especially important with our 1:1 Conversations and Team Goals platforms.
With 1:1 Conversations, we have two new report types:
- Conversations - Allows reporting on the number of topics and completion of those topics within conversations
- Topics - Allows reporting on the number of topics and completion of those topics within conversations
- We don't show specific topic titles/descriptions to admins or managers in the report
This being said, we have 2 new default 1:1 Conversations reports and 1 new default Topic report:
- Number of Active Manager/Direct Reports Conversations
- Active Manager/Direct Report Conversations (shows participants, whether or not the conversation is active, and the number of open topics)
- Conversation Topic Breakdown
Finally, there is is a new 1:1 Conversations Dashboard that includes the above 3 reports:
With Goals, we added reports on Team Goals
This includes information on progress, start dates. There is a new default report showing Team Goals.
Finally, in order to have a simplified viewing experience with reports, the Edit Panel will be collapsed by default when viewing pre-built reports.
- You can reopen/collapse a report by using the edit button found in the top right.
- When creating a new report or clicking into a report from a dashboard, the right-hand edit panel will open.
Goals API v2 for Customers - (Coming on March 16th, 2020)
Who does this affect?
All customers leveraging our publicly facing Goals APIs will be able to use our updated Goals API calls on March 16th, 2020
Why the update?
We are planning to deprecate the existing Goals external API and will be giving our customers a month to switch to the new Goals external API. This means that by beginning of Monday March 16th, 2020, all customers should be using the New Goals API as we will be deprecating old goals API Sunday evening. To learn more about our APIs in general, please refer to this article.
Improved Manager Review Experience / Holistic Performance Panel (Side Panel) - (Beta/Gradual Rollout)
Who does this affect?
Any customers can opt into trying this beta feature for our Reviews platform. Please contact your Customer Success Manager to get this feature enabled.
Why the update?
Managers spend a lot of time viewing written reviews and synthesizing insights from them during check-ins and reviews. To make things easier for managers with direct reports, we're adding 4 enhancements:
- Removed independent scroll and question focus. This design decision made it difficult for managers to gather context spread across a number of questions and sources, so we decided to decouple them.
- In-review question hyperlinking. Under a question, you will now see a link that shows the number of responses submitted. Clicking that will jump the contents of the right panel to those responses, which helps managers find submitted responses immediately.
- Dropdown menu. At the top of the right-hand column, you will now see a dropdown menu that allows you to toggle between submitted responses (the default), past review reports, and received feedback (which is collected from the Feedback and/or Recognition platform). Now, instead of going all over the platform to find context, it's all easily accessible from one place.
- New visualizations for submitted answers, by question type. Visualizations will now populate for submitted answers in the right-hand column. If there are any privacy/visibility rules in place for the question, they will also be respected here as well. The 4 types of questions and what they look like are listed below:
- Free Response
- Multiple Choice
- Rating Scale
- 9-Box
- Free Response
Pre-configured Feedback Questions - (Beta/Gradual Rollout)
Who does this affect?
Any customers who are already using the Feedback platform can request to participate in this beta.
Why the update?
Administrators can work with their Customer Success Managers to customize the default 3 Feedback questions that show up when going through the Feedback workflows into something that better reflect their culture, while sharing best practices with employees. Note that beyond these 3 default questions, users can still add as many of their own custom questions using the Add Question button shown below.
