We'll be going over new features, updates, and improvements to Reflektive below. These features and fixes will be live as of 12/12/19. General Availability means that all accounts can enable and use the features immediately, and Beta means that the features are rolled out to a selection of willing participants first before it is ready for General Availability. For the Release Preview deck our Customer Success Managers have been sharing in November, you can find that here.
Teams General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers will get this functionality update
Why the update?
In the 11/8 release, we had two configuration choices that our customers could pick from which would determine could create teams and edit team members:
- Only ADMINS can create teams and manage the members within.
- ALL employees could create their own teams and manage the members within.
We are now introducing a third option: All managers (with direct reports) can create teams and edit teams they are a part of.
With essentially 3 levels of permissioning over teams, we now should cover most use cases in which a company feels comfortable on who can create teams/manage the members within.
As a reminder, the default out-of-the-box setting is for ONLY ADMINS to have the ability to create and manage teams. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or our support team to configure this the way you want.
1:1 Conversations General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers with 1:1 Conversations enabled will enjoy these enhancements
Why the update?
While we received a lot of input from our beta users of the 1:1 Conversations product, we're still getting great feedback from them as well as newer users that we're excited to implement.
The enhancements are listed below:
- We'll be deprecating the "Your Actions" area from the right-hand sidebar under the 1:1 Conversations tab. After doing some testing and receiving some feedback both internally and with some of our beta testers, we've concluded that this section wasn't adding enough value on the page, and in some cases, took away from the experience.
- Searching for teams has been improved. Results that may not have shown up previously now do, and are sorted more intelligently so that you'll see the most relevant results first.
Engagement Surveys General Enhancements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
Any customer who have Engagement Surveys enabled will enjoy these 4 enhancements
Why the update?
There are 4 updates under Engagement Surveys for this upcoming release. They are:
- Automated Email Reminders
- Customizing end-of-survey links
- Suggested Action plans
1. Automated Email Reminders:
Right now, running an engagement survey and getting employee completion rates to the highest completion % possible can be labor intensive, especially if the admin takes it upon themselves to manually send email reminders out.
In this release, we're allowing admins to queue up to 5 automated reminders to the employees that are participating in the survey. The email reminders will go out around 6 am PST (this cannot be modified).
2. Customizing End-of-Survey links
After completion of a survey, we wanted to give admins more control over where they automatically redirect their employees to. The system defaults to the homepage of the webapp (www.reflektive.com/app), but there are times when customers want to direct employees to other relevant/supplemental materials.
Now, admins change the default setting to whatever URL they want, as well as change the text within the button that redirects them.
3. Suggested Action Plans (Pre-Populated)
While you can create a new action plan as outlined above, you are also able to use suggested pre-populated Action Plans (which show up as Take Action instead of Create Action Plan), but under specific conditions.
- When viewing a Favorability report broken down by question, admins and managers will see suggested action plans for Reflektive’s Engagement Template questions
- Admins can save the suggested action plan directly as a goal, or edit the action plan before saving it as a goal
- These will only populate for Reflektive’s default questions, not for custom questions (admins can still create their own action plan for custom questions)
Pre-populated plans will only appear when all of the below is true:
- The report type is Survey Responses -> Favoribility of Responses --> GROUPED BY Question Title
- The questions are the Reflektive default questions. Any edits to the questions will not surface the pre-populated action plan
- Additionally, we will be deprecating the "Your Actions" panel on the right-hand side of the 1:1 Conversations page, as the information was redundant and would mix up users when talking about Action Plans.
Goals - Visual Updates & Cleaning up the Interface (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers who are on the current (not legacy, which we will be deprecating in the coming months) goals platform will enjoy these enhancement
Why the update?
Our Product Team has streamlined a lot of the existing features so that we keep actions or items to just one or two clicks, instead of navigating sub-menus to get to what users want. Additionally, we wanted to give multiple access points to the most often used features within the Goals platform, so that our customers get in the habit of utilizing the platform on a regular cadence.
Additionally, the product team also implemented a few usability and graphical updates so that maintaining goals is as clear and straightforward as possible, especially when it comes to goals vs key results management.
The edit/view actions are now combined and now open the one modal, where you can view or edit details in one go.
Alignment has been streamlined as well. Instead of accessing it through the '...' menu it will appear next to the Edit Details button. You will be able to create alignment and remove it in the same place. Additionally, you will be able to tell when a goal is aligned since the alignment icon will turn green.
Finally, there are small graphical updates that will eliminate ambiguity as to when someone is dealing with a goal vs a key result. The goal will continue to have the bulls-eye icon, while key results will have an arrow icon.
1:1 Conversations - Action Items & Calendar Integration (Beta/Gradual Rollout)
Who does this affect?
All customers with 1:1 Conversations enabled can ask for this beta functionality to be enabled
Why the update?
While we received a lot of input from our beta users of the 1:1 Conversations product, we're still getting great feedback from them as well as newer users that we're excited to implement.
The enhancements are listed below:
-
Action Items: Within 1:1 Conversations, in addition to adding topics, you can create open action items that you or your report can check off as complete. You are able to drive alignment and accountability so you can get things done faster.
Users can:
- Assign an action item to themselves or the other person in their 1:1
- Write out the action item
- Mark it as complete
- Delete
- Calendar Integration:
- Our calendar integration for scheduling 1:1 Conversations from Reflektive and having the event appear on either your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar will now have functionality.
Feedback Enhancements - (Beta/Gradual Rollout)
As we are building out our Feedback platform, we're making sure that we support all sorts of use cases. Right now, our Real-Time Feedback and Feedback platforms support:
- Thanks
- Save-a-note / private note
- Request Feedback
Two new feedback flows are being introduced:
- Constructive unsolicited feedback (eg: anyone can give someone else constructive feedback with limited visibility, on demand)
- Constructive requests (eg: anyone can ask someone else for constructive feedback, on demand)
To toggle which flows appear, and to customize them further, go to the Feedback tab, and click on the gear icon. Then, select the flow you wish to customize.
In this example, the admin is modifying the feedback flow for the "About Someone Else" path.
