We'll be going over new features, updates, and improvements to Reflektive below. These features and fixes are live as of 8/14/19. General Availability means that all accounts can enable and use the features immediately, and Beta means that the features are rolled out to a selection of willing participants first before it is ready for General Availability.
Previewing Admin Sent Emails for Kick-Off and Nudge Emails (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All HR admins using the reviews platform will get this feature.
Why the update?
When launching and administering a check-in or review cycle, many admins want to be sure that the message they are crafting looks exactly the way they want to, before it ends up in employee inboxes. Why not have a preview tool for this? This preview tool renders the email accurately within your browser in order to help make this more of a self-service process.
When sending a kick-off or nudge email, you'll now see a preview button.
This will launch the preview window, and it lets you know who the audience is and what the email will look like.
Cover Pages on Review Reports (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
Available for any customer on the reviews platform to enable. Please contact support@reflektive.com to enable this feature.
Why the update?
The check-in and review cycle process is meant to be as much of a self-guided process as possible. When archiving and saving records for the future, it can be a time-consuming process to organize all employee submissions. With Cover Pages on Review Reports, HR admins are able to see at a glance who the review belongs to, as well as some vital stats, such as:
- Name of Employee
- Job title of employee
- Manager Name
- Name of Review Cycle
- Department
- Date printed
- Confidential footer (HTML footers are a computer print setting and can be removed in the printer settings, not from Reflektive)
In addition to the organizational aspect, it looks gives review reports an extra layer of privacy.
Manager Changes During a Review Cycle (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
Review cycle creators will have access to this new feature, but question linking does impact the review cycle itself and the view that managers have.
Why the update?
Previously, there were a lot of questions in regards to what happens when someone changes managers during an active review cycle. What kind of visibility to former managers have? Can new managers retract old manager reviews and start fresh? Etc.
The logic has been worked to simplify things.
When a manager change occurs during an active cycle, the manager review for a direct report will ALWAYS be retained. It doesn't matter if the review was started as a draft or not.
Additionally, there is a new cycle setting that review administrators can set that allows managers to decline reviews. This allows managers who know their direct reports are changing to not review them. This allows for smoother manager transitions with little disruption or manual intervention needed for check-in/review cycles.
New Review Form - Mobile Responsive/Improvements (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers will enjoy this enhancement.
Why the update?
Some of Reflektive's products aren't optimized for use on mobile phones and tablets. However, with increasing customer demand (organizations that have employees using non-desktop solutions to access Reflektive), we had to make sure that our most used products were optimized properly.
Reviews are a big part of most employee experiences at a company. With many employees working in the field or off-site, it was an obvious investment to optimize for.
1:1 Conversations - Email Notification Toggles (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers will now have the ability to choose which system generated 1:1 email notifications they wish to receive.
Why the update?
System generated email notifications can sometimes walk that fine line of being helpful and extra noise. With 1:1 Conversations, we had to be careful to strike the right balance, while offering good opt-out tools to keep the experience light and useful.
For 1:1 meetings, there will be two reminders: a day before, and a day of. The day before occurs at 2:00 pm PST, and the day of at 4 am PST.
And of course, employees will be able to opt-out/unsubscribe to any unwanted system messages.
1:1 Conversations now in the Plugin (Gmail and Outlook) (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers using the plugin and who have the 1:1 Conversations tool enabled on the webapp will enjoy this enhancement.
Why the update?
The 1x1 agenda, which was a tool between managers and direct reports, was a good solution for its time for letting those two parties sync up. Now that the 1:1 Conversations platform (more features, flexibility, and usable) is out, its functionality will replace any existing 1x1 agendas found within the platform. In this iteration, users can:
- Add topics
- Mark topics as discussed
- Edit topics
Clicking on the expand icon will send users to the webapp to complete the action there.
Otherwise, you'll be able to add, edit, and delete topics right from the plugin.
Rich Formatting in Notes (General Availability)
Who does this affect?
All customers will enjoy this enhancement.
Why the update?
Every bit of formatting can make a difference when referencing notes or reading through blocks of text. Having rich formatting within notes makes the feature more versatile and usable, especially as the existing 1x1 agenda tool switches over to the improved 1:1 Conversations product.
- Bold, Italic, and Underlined supported with keyboard shortcuts (eg: ctrl or apple button + B, etc)
- Hyperlinks, Bullets, Numbers work by copying and pasting text into notes section (i.e. pasting from google docs, word, etc)
Feedback (Beta)
Who does this affect?
If you are interested in enrolling in the Feedback Beta, please contact your Customer Success Manager or support@reflektive.com.
Why the update?
We want to empower managers and employees to drive feedback cycles, understand their career paths within their organizations, and take more ownership of their development. HR-informed, not HR-initiated: Feedback is driven by people -- employees and managers -- whereas Performance Reviews are driven by HR Teams. Feedback cycles run complementary to programmatic HR events, such as Performance Reviews.
We wanted to give more utility to the New Homepages and push this ability in order to increase overall frequency in which feedback is being solicited and generated. Two things to note would be the updated Feedback button and the new Feedback tab on the top navigation bar.
This will launch a wizard that will help you get the type of feedback you want. Note: Get Feedback about Someone Else will only appear for managers.
All feedback (actions, sent, and received) will appear under a new Feedback tab. You are able to see everyone in one convenient location, manage (send reminders, view and share results with others) feedback, and more.
New Goals Experience (Beta)
Who does this affect?
If you are interested in enrolling in the New Goals Experience Beta, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Why the update?
As you saw in this Major Product Update, our Goals platform is going through several enhancements. We were conducting limited beta testing for our New Goals Experience - we're now proud to announce that the beta is now open to all of those who are curious! All customers will eventually be migrated to the new experience, but will be given advance warning as well as the ability to switch back and forth between the experiences until the classic experience is deprecated.
